New - 50/60s - Category

I believe one of the biggest changes in modern music came in the era's of the 50 & 60s. The first Pop chart was established by the New Musical Express in 1952 with songs such as "Here In My heart" by "Al Martino" , Max Bygraves and Vera Lynn were also prominent artists of the early 50s. Music then developed into a harder much more robust style with Rock & Roll much of the inspiration for this style came from the Black artists of the time, Little Richard, Chuck Berry etc .
